Microsoft Copilot Studio

Microsoft Copilot Studio is a low-code platform for building, customising and operating custom copilots and AI agents. Organisations use it to create conversational assistants, extend Microsoft 365 Copilot with their own topics and connectors, and ground agents in internal data sources across the Microsoft ecosystem — including autonomous agents that trigger processes on their own.

In detail

Microsoft Copilot Studio in practice

Copilot Studio (evolved from Power Virtual Agents) is Microsoft's central tool for adapting generative AI to company-specific use cases. Core building blocks: topics and generative orchestration for conversation flows, more than 1,000 pre-built connectors plus custom connectors, knowledge sources (SharePoint, Dataverse, public websites, Azure AI Search) for grounding, and autonomous agents with trigger and action logic.

Governance runs through the Power Platform Admin Center with DLP policies and Microsoft Purview. Typical Alendris use: service desk agents, internal knowledge assistants and process automation complementing Microsoft 365 Copilot rollouts — set up in line with GDPR and the EU AI Act.
