Cloud Architect (m/f/d)

About the role

As a Cloud Architect at Alendris, you take technical ownership of designing and implementing complex cloud architectures on Microsoft Azure. You advise our clients at a strategic level, develop target architectures and guide implementations from planning to production. You bring deep understanding of enterprise IT landscapes and find the right balance between innovation, security and cost efficiency. You serve as a technical sparring partner for clients and the internal engineering team alike.

What you'll do

• Designing and owning end-to-end cloud architectures on Microsoft Azure for enterprise clients
• Strategic consulting for clients on cloud transformations, migration projects and hybrid strategies
• Defining target architectures, reference architectures and technical roadmaps
• Designing security, identity and governance concepts (Azure Landing Zones, Entra ID, Microsoft Defender for Cloud)
• Evaluating and selecting Azure services and technologies for client-specific requirements
• Technical leadership and quality assurance in client projects
• Close collaboration with Cloud Engineers, Security Engineers and project management
• Creating architecture documentation, decision proposals and proof of concepts

What we're looking for

• Several years of experience as Cloud Architect or Senior Cloud Engineer with a focus on Microsoft Azure
• Deep understanding of Azure services, network design, identity management and security architectures
• Experience with Azure Landing Zones, hub-spoke topologies and enterprise-scale architectures
• Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Bicep) and DevOps practices
• Experience in technical client consulting and stakeholder communication
• Microsoft certifications such as AZ-305, AZ-700 or AZ-500 are a plus
• Fluent German and English language skills
