AI Engineer (m/f/d)

About the role

As an AI Engineer at Alendris, you design and develop enterprise AI solutions that sustainably transform our clients' business processes. You work at the intersection of leading AI providers like Anthropic and OpenAI, cloud infrastructure and real business requirements – from scalable conversational AI platforms to intelligent document processing to enterprise-wide automation solutions. You build production-ready architectures, secure API integrations and work closely with client-side stakeholders. You're part of a small, high-impact team that iterates quickly and delivers measurable results.

What you'll do

• Designing and developing enterprise AI solutions based on Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Services and the Microsoft Copilot Stack
• Designing and implementing scalable API architectures for integrating LLMs into existing enterprise applications
• Building RAG systems, AI-powered chatbots and intelligent workflow automations for enterprise clients
• Developing data pipelines for processing, vectorizing and serving enterprise data for AI models
• Close collaboration with clients to analyze use cases, requirements and feasibility assessments
• Evaluating and introducing new AI technologies, frameworks and Azure services
• Code reviews, technical documentation and knowledge transfer within the team

What we're looking for

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering or comparable qualification
• Experience developing with Python and/or TypeScript
• Strong knowledge of AI APIs from leading providers (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, Azure OpenAI) and modern frameworks (LangChain, Semantic Kernel, Prompt Flow)
• Experience designing and implementing REST/GraphQL APIs and microservice architectures
• Understanding of enterprise cloud architectures on Microsoft Azure (Azure Functions, Azure AI Search, Cosmos DB, API Management)
• Independent, structured work approach with high quality standards
• Fluent German and English language skills
